This training course is brought to you by the Edward J. Malloy Initiative for Construction Skills, Inc. (CSkills) in collaboration and partnership with the Consortium for Worker Education (CWE). CWE is proud to be the service provider for the Construction Skills Pre-apprenticeship Training Program. The program offers qualified participants, who successfully complete the course, a direct entry referral into unionized apprenticeship programs.
As a member of the North America’s Building Trades Unions, Construction Skills has adapted and implemented the use of the nationally recognized Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3). Throughout the next several weeks, the training team will provide remote instruction on the following topics: Orientation and Industry Awareness, Heritage of the American Worker, Green Construction, Offshore Wind, Blueprint Reading, Sexual Harassment Prevention, Financial Literacy, and Tools & Materials. Curriculum will be delivered through a varied of methods including instructional facilitation, power point presentations, short videos, share-out group work, homework, quizzes and a final exam. We look forward to active participation, engagement and providing participants with the skills needed to enter the unionized industry.
